 What colour suits you?This slim metal-bodied 10 megapixel digital camera puts the fun back
into photography with a choice of five fantastic colours. You can
spring into action and stand out from the crowd just as soon as you
decide which colour best suits you; Ice Blue, Panther Black, Tropical
Green, Champagne Pink and Diablo Red. Pocketable and durableTo further enhance its portability the new camera features a sharp 3x Fujinon optical zoom lens,(equivalent to 38-110mm on a 35mm camera), that uses vertical internal optics to zoom, rather than extending from the camera body. This maintains the slim-line proportions so popular in Fujifilm's Z series cameras and ensures that, even if the camera accidentally powers-on in cramped surroundings, no harm will come to the lens; one of the most common concerns of standard cameras.
 Easy to useThe camera controls have also been designed with you in mind. The menus are accessed by two circular rocker buttons, while the GUI (graphical user interface) is clear, easy to use and allows super-fast access to the camera's multitude of photographic features.
 2.5” LCD ScreenA camera of this class demands the very best TFT LCD, and at a generous size of 2.5" and a resolution of 230,000 pixels, you can't get much better. Sensing ambient light, the LCD automatically adjusts brightness for optimum viewing indoors or outdoors. Manual control can provide additional brightness. Unlike other inferior cameras, the LCD is protected by a scratch resistant, reinforced acrylic protective shield, so even if loose in a pocket, the LCD has its own in-built protection. The extra-large LCD makes it easy to frame your photos and playback the results to friends in brilliant, rich colour.  xD and SD compatibilityThe FinePix Z20fd features an xD/SD compatible slot, allowing the use of either xD Picture Card, SD or SDHC media to store and transfer your photos.  Don't forget the FinePix Z20fd has an internal memory too...The FinePix Z20fd makes it possible for you to get that picture even if your memory card is full. The 45MB of internal memory built into this compact model provides enough storage for up to 80 photographs, (at 2MP setting), and ensures that you will never have to miss that special shot. Think of it as your internal insurance policy for photo opportunities. With that said, the main storage for images on the FinePix Z20fd should be an additional xD card, which will allow you to accommodate almost as many images as you like. Without Face Detection  With Face DetectionUltra-fast Face DetectionThe FinePix Z20fd boasts Fujifilm's acclaimed ultra-fast Face Detection technology, which will seek out faces in the darkness of a party to give perfectly focused and exposed pictures every time. A green square surrounds the face of the primary subject on the camera's LCD screen, whilst white squares identify up to nine other subjects. Movement tracking keeps the camera 'locked on' to its subjects until they move out of the picture. The technology works regardless of the subject's position in the frame, and is not confused by anyone wearing glasses.  Automatic red-eye removalRed-eye is the single biggest reason why the best portraits are ruined. The FinePix Z20fd uses Face Detection technology to find and instantly correct any red-eye from every face in the frame. Getting the camera's on-board processor to do this fiddly retouch is so much easier (and accurate) than trying to do it on a complex photo manipulation package. The system on the FinePix Z20fd will only correct redness in the pupil of the eye, not elsewhere in the picture, because the camera uses eye detection within Face Detection to find the pupil. While other cameras can sometimes convert lips or red jewellery to brown or blue, the Z20fd never gets it wrong, and it only takes a couple of seconds.   Achieve the perfect photo in a flashThis camera continues the Fujifilm tradition of offering the user choice about lighting, and those who prefer to use flash will benefit from Fujifilm's Intelligent Flash system. Intelligent Flash detects subtle lighting differences within a scene, and then varies the flash intensity accordingly. It also uses the high sensitivity of the FinePix Z20fd to enable the camera to use less flash, preventing that "blasted with light" effect that so many digital camera flashes leave you with. For times when it's not clear whether flash is appropriate, the FinePix Z20fd's Natural Light & Flash mode takes two photos in quick succession, one with flash and one without. Both photos are then displayed side by side for quick comparison so that you can decide which one to keep.   Anti blurUsers will immediately appreciate the benefits of Fujifilm's Super CCD sensor. The increased surface area means it is more sensitive to light, enabling faster shutter speeds to help reduce image blur and the need for flash when taking photos in low light. The Picture Stabilisation mode on the Z20fd uses high sensitivity (up to 1600 ISO) to help reduce camera shake, freeze subject movement and improve low-light background detail to deliver virtually blur free images.
