 High resolution 2.5-inch LCD screenThe FinePix J15fd features a large high-resolution 2.5-inch, LCD screen, which has a reinforced glass coating for scratch-free durability. In addition, the LCD screen is coated with anti-glare materials to increase visibility when framing or reviewing images in bright sunlight, which means that sharing your images with others is easier than ever before.  Convenient xD and SD compatibilityIf you already own a camera, but are thinking of replacing it with this model, it doesn't necessarily mean that you have to consider any additional expense of replacing a perfectly good memory card. The FinePix J15fd features an xD/SD compatible slot, allowing the use of either xD Picture Card, SD or SDHC media to store and transfer your photos. This will give you the flexibility to buy the card you want, use cards from previous cameras, or choose the media that fits with your other desktop devices like laptops, PDAs or card readers.
 Internal memoryThe FinePix J15fd makes it possible for you to get that picture even if your memory card is full. The 8MB internal memory built into this compact ensures that you will never have to miss that special shot. Think of it as your internal insurance policy for photo opportunities. With that said, the main storage for images on the FinePix J15fd should be an additional xD/SD card, which will allow you to accommodate almost as many images as you like.  Conventional camera  FinePix J15fdNever miss a portraitFace Detection is a selectable option within the camera that you can activate whenever you are taking pictures of people, and this combined with the intelligent reactions of our FinePix cameras will ensure that you get perfect results and optimum portraits - every time. Automatic red-eye removal detects and compensates for red-eye in detected faces, for flattering flash portraits and party pictures. The system is not confused by lips or red coloured jewellery, as some other systems can be, as it works in tandem with the Face Detection system to cleverly identify eyes and nothing else. Letting the camera do this retouching is so much quicker and easier than struggling at home on a PC. Highly sensitivePhotos taken in low light are the ones that are most likely to produce disappointing results. Limited flash range and direct light can mean the foreground is harshly lit and the background lost all together. If the flash isn't used at all, the image can suffer from digital interference called 'noise' as the sensor struggles to pick up all of the detail in the scene. With the FinePix J15fd at the ready you don't have to worry about a thing; it can achieve an ISO of 1600, alowing you to capture blur-free images even in low light or with rapidly moving subjects. This high sensitivity also means that you can shoot without flash to preserve more natural looking scenes.
 Capture the actionAnti blurThe camera's Anti-blur system increases its ISO setting and associated shutter speed, so that the shutter can open and close much more quickly, thereby freezing moving action without blur - perfect for school sports fields. The Anti blur mode on the FinePix J15fd will automatically correct camera shake and subject blur to enable you to concentrate on capturing crisp actin shots with background detail in tact. When a still image isn't sufficient, the FinePix J15fd's movie mode, at 30 frames per second, captures movie clips with sound that are limited in length only by the size of memory card used.
 Baby mode  Flower modeEase of useThe camera is preset with an extensive selection of scene modes which make it ready to shoot anything from nightscapes, to portraits or ski slopes in an instant. These include 'beach', 'party' and 'fireworks' for optimum photography, no matter what the event. There's even a 'Baby' mode to ensure those all important pictures of baby's first years look spot-on, with skin tones faithfully reproduced. Simply select a Scene Position that suits your situation and the FinePix J15fd automatically selects the appropriate shutter speed, exposure and white balance to ensure that you get the most of your photography; more stunning pictures, less hassle.  Create your own slideshowCreate your own 'Slideshow'The FinePix J15fd features a multitude of options for sharing images once they've been taken, enabling you to share your precious moments again and again with Fujifilms in-camera ‘Slideshow’ function, which displays images one-by-one.
